THE ARTIFACT

Historically associated with the Shuar people of the Ecuadorian Amazon, tsantsas became some of the most enigmatic objects to enter Western museums and private collections.

Our interpretation preserves that unmistakable visual character: tightly drawn features, weathered skin, long hair and an aged finish that gives the piece the presence of an object recovered from an old collection.
