The dried anatomy, fragile wings and aged presentation are designed to make the impossible feel strangely plausible. Mounted against dark textiles and enclosed inside its weathered shadow box, the specimen feels less like conventional fantasy décor and more like something recovered from a collection that was never intended to be public.
